Another difference between boys and girls... Johnnies, very public display of rejoicing (I am sure we would have joined them if it hadn't been 1145pm and we ran the risk of having to find somewhere to sleep over at st johns (which is not technically allowed). Bennies, nice quiet celebrations, nothing big like what went on at St Johns last night...
So last night after the news of Osama bin Laden's death had spread like wildfire through the campus, the boys decided to go to flynntown to celebrate, so I heard from Johnnie friends. It started off small, 40 Johnnies or so standing outside singing the national anthem waving a huge flag, and ended up as a huge ordeal. At one point there were hundreds of Johnnies in flynntown singing, dancing, shooting off fireworks (which is illegal) and having a grand old time into the early hours of the morn.
